**💭 Thoughts:** Legendary jazz-rap outfit A Tribe Called Quest’s debut album *People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm* introduces the group’s signature sound of jazz-heavy samples and Q-Tip and Phife Dawg’s iconic dynamic—with Q-Tip carrying the vibes with his smoother, laid-back rapping, and Phife carrying the energy with his punchy and humorous rapping. This record isn’t bad, however I believe its best quality is being a useful stepping stone for their later albums, especially because Phife Dawg isn’t as present throughout the record in comparison to the rest of their discography. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.)
