People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm (25th Anniversary Edition)
“A Tribe Called Quest's seminal debut is an album that's largely focused outside of itself and its creators. There are three added cuts for this reissue—remixes by Pharrell, J. Cole, and CeeLo—that are passable and melodic but unneeded. Tribe's music needs no updating, even when it sticks out like a sore thumb, because that's exactly what it did in 1990.”
We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service
“After nearly two decades, A Tribe Called Quest returns to rap one last time without skipping a beat.”

“A Tribe Called Quest’s sixth (and final) album was a rumor for 18 years. It’s here, and against many odds, it reinvigorates the group’s discography without resting on nostalgia.”
People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm (25th Anniversary Edition)
“**💭 Thoughts:** Legendary jazz-rap outfit A Tribe Called Quest’s debut album *People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm* introduces the group’s signature sound of jazz-heavy samples and Q-Tip and Phife Dawg’s iconic dynamic—with Q-Tip carrying the vibes with his smoother, laid-back rapping, and Phife carrying the energy with his punchy and humorous rapping. This record isn’t bad, however I believe its best quality is being a useful stepping stone for their later albums, especially because Phife Dawg isn’t as present throughout the record in comparison to the rest of their discography. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.) The Love Movement (Deluxe Edition)
“**💭 Thoughts:** When it comes to the discography of A Tribe Called Quest, albums like *The Low End Theory* or *Midnight Marauders* is brought up in reference to the greatness of their work. In this conversation, I truly believe *The Love Movement* often goes overlooked. While I may not myself believe it’s amazing overall, there are definitely many amazing and under appreciated songs. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.) Start It Up 🟠 2.) Find a Way 🔵🥇 3.) Da Booty 🟡 4.) Beats, Rhymes & Life
“**💭 Thoughts:** Running at 51 minutes, *Beats, Rhymes & Life* utilizes some of the best instrumentals and samples that I think the group has ever used, combined with some of the best flows and back-and-forth rapping that Q-Tip and Phife Dawg have done, along with the rapping from guest rapper Consequence. Underrated, and the album needs more recognition when it comes to the group’s best work. This is my personal favorite tribe album, tied with *Midnight Marauders*. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.)
