6/25 made it on my playlist. Honestly I thought this was a good project till I realized how many skips I had. Really enjoyed the ones I liked, and couldn’t get through the first minute of the ones I didn’t. Love Trippie I just feel a little better lyrical and vocal work is necessary nowadays. Also the beats drowning out his voice makes it hard to hear him at points. I think it takes more than some screaming and curse words to make a good “rage” type project. Which is the same problem I had with the latest Ken Carson album. Though I loved seeing slump god and Trippie on the same beat that was a treat in itself. Let me know if you disagree or think I missed something.

Honestly I really enjoyed this. I feel like we as an audience haven’t seen R&B drake in a while. 8/11 of these made it to my favorites. Has a very different vibe from Iceman and if I’m being honest Habibti feels more polished to me in some places. Would love to see more Drake like this. These songs were incredibly catchy and kept the lyrics in my head for days.

Holy shit what a banger. I love this song. This song really encapsulates the whole feeling of the album. Having a loved one that doesn’t love you back who just uses you while your person deteriorates. Feels like a song that would play during a montage in a movie where the girl is getting revenge on the guy. I personally resonate having had this kind of relationship which only makes the lyrics hit that much harder. PEAK!!

“Gun to your head name an album with no skips” for me this is that album. Pop is a little out of my mainstream as I tend to gravitate towards Hiphop and R&B but I was captivated by every track on this. It feels like this album was made for people who have experienced a love that was not reciprocated and still did anything they could to make the other person love them. An album to play while smoking a cigarette after a hard day.
