“For better or worse, Noah Kahan’s much-anticipated Stick Season follow-up delivers more songs about dead bugs, driving, copper mines, demarcated lines, driving, substance abuse, and cold weather.”

“On the follow-up to his 2022 breakthrough, the very popular New England songwriter stretches beyond his comfort zone with the hopes of growing more self-aware, more complex, and more deserving of the spotlight.”
“Stick Season turns Groundhog Day in stadium folkie’s endless autumn”
“I’ve been locked into Noah Kahan’s world since the Stick Season era, so going back to The Great Divide feels like rediscovering the roots of something that’s only gotten more powerful with time. There’s a quieter, more searching energy here, but deeply sincere. You can hear him figuring himself out in real time, leaning into themes of distance, identity, and emotional growing pains. Songs like these hit differently when you already know where he’s headed, because the vulnerability feels even more real. It may not have the refined punch of his later work, but the heart is undeniable.”

“This was Kahan at his best. Some amazing stuff in here. The whole album has me reminiscing about sunnier days and reliving events from my past. Love some deep music with themes people can connect with. American Cars has to be my favorite track. So catchy and slightly more bright then some of the others ❤️”
“I didn’t hate this I think Noah Kahan is talented but we could’ve cut that album in half”
