**💭 Thoughts:** Deftones’ 1997 sophomore album *Around the Fur* is arguably one of nu metal/alternative metal’s most important albums. There are so many great aspects of this album—whether it be Chino Moreno’s vocals or the well-crafted guitar riffs—and I think Deftones’ fans need to stop denying it’s one of, if not, their best, just because it’s their most popular.
