**💭 Thoughts:** Legendary thrash metal band Metallica’s 1983 debut is arguably one of metal’s most important albums, establishing thrash metal and pushing metal towards a more faster and aggressive style. While I don’t think this is among the band’s best work, I do believe it was a useful stepping stone for greater and better albums like *Ride the Lightning*. The only real flaws here are that I noticed (atleast for me) are that James Hetfield’s vocals blend in too much with the instrumental which makes them feel understated, and the some of the riffs are a bit boring or underwhelming. It’s a great album overall, however their three albums after this are just better in many ways, not to say this album doesn’t have amazing songs. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.) Hit the Lights 🔵 2.)
