β**π Thoughts:** Legendary thrash metal band Metallicaβs 1983 debut is arguably one of metalβs most important albums, establishing thrash metal and pushing metal towards a more faster and aggressive style. While I donβt think this is among the bandβs best work, I do believe it was a useful stepping stone for greater and better albums like *Ride the Lightning*. The only real flaws here are that I noticed (atleast for me) are that James Hetfieldβs vocals blend in too much with the instrumental which makes them feel understated, and the some of the riffs are a bit boring or underwhelming. Itβs a great album overall, however their three albums after this are just better in many ways, not to say this album doesnβt have amazing songs. **πΆ Tracklist Review** 1.) Hit the Lights π΅ 2.)
