Isolation | 9.4/10 - Exceptional
💭 Thoughts: Kali Uchis’ debut album Isolation is a more polished, genre-diverse, and fully realized project compared to her previous mixtape, Por Vida. Where Por Vida was lacking, the Colombian-American singer was able to improve, and expand. A highlight of this record is definitely the seamless integration of such a wide range of genres. Whether it be a latin pop track like “Nuestro Planeta,” or a dreamy track like “After the Storm,” this record doesn’t appear to have any major flaws.
