1999 | 9.0/10 - Exceptional
💭 Thoughts: New York rapper Joey Bada$$’s 2012 mixtape 1999 contains some of the best rapping and production I’ve heard on any hip-hop project. Whether it be the old-school, dusty boom bap production, or the clever wordplay and effortless flows, Joey is able to deliver on all fronts throughout the entire mixtape. There isn’t a single bad or even mediocre song, displaying a level of consistency that is rare within the modern hip-hop scene.
