“Won’t get any better mixtapes than 1999. 17 years old Joey Bada$$ was when this dropped which is absolutely insane! A classic, grungy, boom bap style beat throughout the album which goes perfect with Joeys delivery and his wordplay and writing on this project for a 17 year can’t get any better. Joey really had all the tools to take over rap but struggled to bring out an album better than this one.
