The Wall | 5.5/10 - Average
💭 Thoughts: Pink Floyd’s 1979 studio album The Wall mainly consists of songs that feel more rewarding to listen to as part of the full listening experience rather than on their own. Many tracks spend much of their runtime building tension, just for it to reach the peak right as they end. While the album has its share of highly replayable songs such as “Comfortably Numb” or “The Show Must Go On,” tracks like “Mother” and “One of My Turns” are very hard to revisit on their own because of their slow buildup, even though they work well within the context of the album. Essentially, the album is a good experience from start to finish, however replaying most of songs individually is very unappealing and unenjoyable.
