Wish You Were Here
“Each Sunday, Pitchfork takes an in-depth look at a significant album from the past, and any record not in our archives is eligible. Today we revisit a timeless classic rock album from 1975, a mournful, emotionally charged mood piece that grounded a historically cosmic band.”
The Dark Side of the Moon
“The Dark Side of the Moon is what everyone has at least been slightly influenced by ever since it released. Music wouldn’t be the same without it. I purposefully avoid listening to it a bunch to keep it fresh and sacred so it never goes stale. That’s how much I respect this album. But enough of the glazing. Of course this was made by humans so there are flaws. Some tracks tend to drag on a little bit. While some can get repetitive. But I can respect the nature of the album being that way, besides they do it pretty well. This album way ahead of its time. If we meet aliens. This should be one of the albums we give to them for them to listen to. I feel like I should re-review this album while being high. It might make it a ten.”
Wish You Were Here
“Couldn’t give this 10/10 because I didn’t want this to be on the same wavelength as the DSOTM. However, this album is completely flawless. I think it’s a beautiful handful of songs and that Floyd really never miss, especially on this album.”
Animals
“Floyd’s best album they got. Really beautiful sound in each song. Some might complain that songs are too long, but I think this album and its length is perfect. Overall, amazing album”
