- Tick Extended streaming history and request it. That is the one with every play since you joined. The basic export only holds the last year.
- Spotify emails a link in a few days. Download the zip and drop it above. No need to unzip it.

Is this free?
Yes, completely. Stats.fm charges for its Plus tier to import the same file. Rate.fm has no paid tier. Reading the file and showing your stats happens in your browser and costs nothing. Bringing the plays into your Rate.fm profile is free too.
Does my data get uploaded?
Not unless you ask. The zip is read in your browser and the stats on this page are computed there. Only if you sign in and tap “Bring it into Rate.fm” are the plays sent to your account, and then only the song, artist, album and time of each play, never the file itself.
What does importing into Rate.fm give me?
Every play lands in your listening history with its original date, so your stats page shows plays per day, hours streamed, a listening clock, genres and top songs, artists and albums back to the day you joined Spotify, not just from when you installed the app. It sits next to your ratings and reviews.
Will every play match?
Most will. Each play is matched to a record in the Rate.fm catalog by song, artist and album. Plays of podcasts, local files, and songs no longer on any store are the usual misses. The page tells you how many matched.
