Review

At first I was going to rate this lower and say it should’ve just been an EP, but the last two songs really changed my mind. I think this album has the problem of all the songs being good but not enough of them standing out. As much as I’m grateful for a couple of Surf Curse’s songs for getting me into indie rock, I just didn’t get the nuance and interest from the album that the last two songs held. I enjoyed it, I get that it’s their first album so they were probably just going with a sound formula they saw worked out, but the album itself didn’t really stand the test of time as much as a couple of their songs individually did.
