Incredible

This album right here is just amazing. This is a top tier nu metal album. This is like the abbey road of nu metal. The atmosphere is just so chaotic and energetic. I typically think that some nu metal songs are cringe. Like the mix between metal and rap kinda throws me off and makes me cringe. Slipknot however is completely different to me. Majority of the songs work for me, and utilize the rap and metal blend to their advantage. Corey’s vocal deliveries are just straight animalistic. Songs like Sic, Wait and Bleed, Prosthetics, Scissors shows that animalistic delivery. He’s also capable of singing pretty well and blending that raw energy. The guitar work and drum work are just crazy. I really love the record scratches on Eyeless which also shows that hip hop influence. The drums are just so crazy gets you pumped up throughout the song. I really think the only down side is the outro. I think that scissors would’ve been a good and brutal ending for the album. Eeyore is a cool outro, but not as good as scissors imo. Scissors lyricism and overall energy and just brutality is such a good song. Unfortunately I think that slipknot is lwk overrated. Like this is their magnum opus and their other projects don’t even compare to this one imo.
