Cowboys from Hell | 8.2/10 - Great
💭 Thoughts: Pantera’s 1990 major-label debut Cowboys from Hell is often credited with popularizing groove metal, and despite technically being their fifth album, it marks their first major departure from their earlier glam/heavy metal sound. To be honest, I’ve never really been a huge Pantera fan, and this album just reinforces that. This album is great, don’t get me wrong, but I’m most likely only going to revisit the standout tracks like “Cemetary Gates” or “Cowboys from Hell,” as I feel parts of the track list aren’t very memorable.
