**💭 Thoughts:** *Blue Lines*, Massive Attack’s 1991 studio album, is often credited with being the first trip-hop album. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of this soul/hip-hop orientated sound, and much prefer the more darker and industrial sound that came later on in trip-hop’s history. While I can acknowledge this album’s greatness and importance, I believe it’s best quality is laying the foundation for better albums to come like *Mezzanine*, their later, darker project.
