β€œ**πŸ’ Thoughts:** LINKIN PARK’s debut album *Hybrid Theory* is arguably one of metal’s most important albums of the 21st century. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of Chester Bennington’s vocal style. I think this album is great, and I love the instrumentalsβ€”from the crushing guitar riffs to the record scratchesβ€”but I generally prefer the vocal styles of Jonathan Davis or Corey Taylor when it comes to nu-metal. This might be a hot take, but I don’t really consider LINKIN PARK to be nu metal. While the album certainly shares elements of the genre, I view *Hybrid Theory* as more of a rap metal album due to its more frequent rapped verses compared to other nu-metal bands like Korn or Slipknot. **🎢 Tracklist Review** 1.) Minutes to Midnight

Minutes to Midnight

β€œ**πŸ’ Thoughts:** LINKIN PARK’s 2007 record, *Minutes to Midnight*, has the nu-metal band distancing themselves from the heavier sound of their previous records and taking on a more mellow, emotional sound. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of this LINKIN PARK. I find that what made *Hybrid Theory* and *Meteora* so special was how unique and distinctive their sound wasβ€”of which goes completely out the window for a majority of this album. This record just feels very boring, and is nowhere near as interesting as the two previous record. **🎢 Tracklist Review** 1.) Wake 🟒 2.) Given Up 🟒πŸ₯ˆ 3.) Leave Out All the Rest 🟑 4.) Meteora (Deluxe Edition)

Meteora (Deluxe Edition)

9.4

β€œ**πŸ’ Thoughts:** LINKIN PARK maintains the same level of consistency, memorability, and excellence with their second studio album *Meteora* as they did on their debut. This record has the nu-metal legends preserving their iconic sound, but in a cleaner fashion with more melodic songwriting and electronic elements. Undoubtedly one of their best works. **🎢 Tracklist Review** 1.) Foreword βšͺ️ 2.) Don’t Stay πŸ”΅ 3.) Somewhere I Belong πŸ”΅ 4.) Lying From You πŸ”΅ 5.) Hit the Floor 🟒 6.) Easier to Run 🟒 7.)
