“**💭 Thoughts:** Kali Uchis’ second mixtape, *Por Vida* is our official introduction to the Colombian-American singer. I find that the dreamy, hazy atmosphere she attempts to establish throughout this mixtape is nowhere near as well-executed as it is on her later projects. While *Por Vida* laid the groundwork for her later sound, I don’t find it to be much more than that—a useful foundation for her to develop her sound from.
