“It was just two years ago that Canadian electro-pop artist Cecil Frena was making hyperspeed yelp-pop-- with, at times, a distinct Xiu Xiu influence-- as Gobble Gobble. Last year, Frena unveiled his new moniker, Born Gold, and released an LP for that project, Bodysongs, that explored that sound a little further, adding more texture and pitch-drunk aesthetics to the mix.
