“Yo La Tengo have experimented with quite a few different sounds over their decades-strong career, to the point where eclecticism is something of a calling card for them (especially during their strong run of albums in the last decade). They do have a "sound", though, and that sound is present and accounted for on "Before We Run", the first single from YLT's forthcoming LP, Fade.
