“bEEdEEgEE is the solo project of Gang Gang Dance’s Brian DeGraw, who says his forthcoming album, SUM/ONE (out December 3 via 4AD), was made “in a space of my brain that was completely isolated from GGD.” But the first single, “Bricks,” isn’t light-years away from his work with that group. It’s not tough to imagine GGD’s Lizzi Bougatsos purring over top of DeGraw’s sharp, dance-inflected beat.
