BE$T ALBUM BY SLAYYYTER — HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: DANCE… OLD TECHNOLOGY GAS STATION OLD FLING$ WHAT IS IT LIKE, TO BE LIKED? BRITTANY MURPHY. I love the trashiness that this album presents, but the fact she released 5/14 tracks before the album actually released is actually crazy 😭 Even though this album is so amazingly midwesternly trashy, I can’t help but also notice that the ideas that slayyyter explores in this album is either not fully developed, or, never mentioned again. This fact is though overshadowed by the fact this album has very high-intensity beats that occasionally outshine slayyyter’s voice. If you ignore the fact that the lyrics feel premature, this album is extremely good and that is presented in the fact that in this point in time, the album has 49 million streams 4 days after release despite Slayyyter having less than 3 million monthly listeners.

Hope lingered, indeed — HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: Winter Woman. Click Clack Symphony. I Know You’re Hurting. Goodbye Henry. Fields. Joy. This is not just an impressive sophomore album, and certainly not a cash grab album (even though this album will be on repeat) This album dives into not just hope, but the ideas that may give and take it on a whim. Each lyrics holds deep meaning which listeners can easily resonate with through Raye sharing her personal experiences. The classical and human bond-rich production from Raye’s close coworkers and friends enhance the “hope” already present in the project. This album is an experience of battling with yourself through life’s bullshit and having to learn that through thick and thin, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Just one warning, this music may contain hope.

Album of a Generation — HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: Sexo, Violencia y Llantas Divinize Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti Dios Es Un Stalker La Rumba Del Perdón Rosalía really reminded me of how beautiful being bilingual is; especially when present in music projects. This album is one of a kind, I have never heard anything like it. The vocal range Rosalía demonstrates is beautiful shown and enhanced by the enchanting chords and instrumentals present. I knew from the lead single, Berghain, that this album was going to be big. Revolutionary. The pure emotion displayed by the beautiful band’s performance is just simply, breathtakingly stunning. 2025 had been a big year for music. LUX though, shines brighter than the masses.
