Maybe you've spied her name on enough big-box dance fest lineups to glean by now that Maya Jane Coles is renowned for her DJ skills-- her own DJ-Kicks mix from earlier this year is a standout in 2012's typically cluttered mix overview, a smooth, nocturnal collection that's not afraid to get a little boisterous in its own way. She's also an accomplished house producer who's readying her own solo debut LP for release some time next year; before that, Coles will release the Easier to Hide EP on her own I Am Me label (it sees release digitally on December 7 via Beatport before getting released on all other digital venues on December 16).
