After their 2011 debut Madre Mia Por Los Dias was licensed by Southern Lord, the aggressive death-and-Disembodied-influenced Pomona, Calif. hardcore band Xibalba signed to Greg Anderson's label for their sophomore album, Hasta La Muerte ("To the Death"), out August 14. Anderson contributed guitar to the record, which was recorded by Nails' Taylor Young and features art by Dan Seagrave, but even when one half of Sunn O))) isn't on board, they up the doom and sludge quotients.
