Last year, Marked Men frontman Mark Ryan released the great Mind Spiders album Meltdown. It was a record with tons of momentum (aided in part by its two drummers) and some earworm tracks with a sci-fi bent. Now, Ryan's brought the Spiders back for Inhumanistic, out October 8 via Dirtnap, and "Make Make Make Make" introduces their return with a familiarly vigorous drive. With its ragged opening guitar line, they play to their speed garage strengths, and with an entire section centered around a synthesizer, they regain their science fiction footing. It's a two-minute burst of power, which is exactly what you want to hear from a new Mark Ryan record.
