Showcasing brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence's impeccable knack for structure, the beat builds fluidly from moments of minimalist atmosphere to sudden bursts of carbonation. Aluna Francis' vocals show range too, pivoting from wounded to defiant within a single line. "You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying," she sings. But as on the best AlunaGeorge songs, her seemingly coy vocals pack an unexpected kick: "If you wanna play tough," she snaps back, beats later, "Let's get rough."
