How's this for dark: Austin noisemakers Future Death recorded their debut LP, Special Victim, in a fucking funeral home—one owned by indie-everywhere producer John Congleton, no less. The album wasn't produced by Congleton, though; This Will Destroy You's Alex Bhore manned the boards on Special Victim, which will see release on May 27 via Bloodmoss. The thrashing, sugary-sweet "Basements" is a solid introduction to the band's metal-goes-to-the-candy-store approach.
