"My Hoes They Do Drugs", the latest single from Chicago hometown hero King L, features a rush of silky keyboards that evoke soft-focus, baby-making 80s R&B. The lyrics, meanwhile, sharply work against that vibe: "These hoes on that Molly/ And I'm going to fuck them both/ Pop that pussy open/ Pour champagne on that hoe," chants Juicy J, who has never really made much use of "chivalry" or "basic human decency" in his music. His sing-songy delivery, however, is somehow as catchy as it has been, even though he's been riding it for decades; between this song and "Bandz A Make Her Dance", he is deep into a minor streak. Pusha-T, meanwhile, delivers a sharp, hard verse that finds him regaining some of the traction he's lost recently. As for King L, his verse shows off his still-sharpening ability to boil dense raps into short chewy quotables.
