The industrial synth-pop of early Ministry is a solid touchstone for the DFA sound, so it's only fitting that Holy Ghost! would rope in the Juan MacLean and Nancy Whang (also of LCD Soundsystem) for their take on one of the 80s stalwart's first singles, "I Wanted to Tell Her". Whang ably stands in for Shay Jones' original guest vocals, delivering one of her finest, understated disco-diva performances since MacLean's "Happy House". In all, it's a pretty faithful take on the Ministry classic, with spit-shined synths and a beefed-up bassline-- and it's more than enough to whet appetites for the forthcoming, equally 80s-inspired video.
