One of the most slept-on singles of last year was "Brandy and Coke", an intoxicating slice of garage from UK producer DJ Q that twisted Brandy's 1995 single "Best Friend" into new shapes. Q's new single, "Trust Again", shares a few things in common with "Brandy and Coke": for one, it features a sparkling take on UKG's dusty gait, and it prominently displays female vocals, too. Where it differs, however, is that the vocals here aren't sampled from a distant tune-- they're courtesy of vocalist Louise Williams, who hugs the track's framework while simultaneously managing to sound light as a feather above the proceedings.

"Trust Again" is the first single from DJ Q's forthcoming debut LP; it sees release as a proper single at the end of January, courtesy of Local Action.
