An unexpected first

This first album doesn’t really have an outstanding hit, but a lot of impressive composition, piano work, and some 70s pop that isn’t just simple. My favorite track is the song “Why Judy Why”, which originally had more instruments but was stripped down to the guitar, sort of leaving a ghost orchestra, it’s so pretty I wish I knew how to emulate that sound. Nonetheless, solid album, but not the Billy Joel you’d expect.
