While only having connected in late 2012, the trio of Amsterdam’s Juju & Jordash in collaboration with Heidelberg-based techno mastercraftsman David Moufang have been prolific, with a live album and now their third EP released as Magic Mountain High, Tiny Breadcrumbs. The four-track EP builds from the most minute of electronic sounds, each member pushing their machines to create mesmeric new patterns. “Riptide” rides a high-hat, incessant four-note motif and slow-cresting high frequencies that keep pushing the track (and listeners’ heads) into an elevated state.
