Guts by Olivia Rodrigo is the album that fully converted me into a fan. I liked Sour, but Guts? This is where everything sharpens. The songwriting is wittier, the emotions are louder, and the confidence feels earned rather than accidental.

The pop-rock energy is explosive — distorted guitars, chaotic bridges, and hooks that feel like they’re about to combust, but what really got me was how self-aware it all is. She leans into insecurity, jealousy, awkwardness, and growing pains without trying to make herself look perfect. It’s dramatic, messy, and brutally honest in a way that feels intentional and controlled.

As a music fan, I love when an artist levels up instead of playing it safe, and Guts does exactly that. It’s bold, cathartic, and way more layered than I expected — the kind of album that doesn’t just impress you, it makes you commit.
