Back in 2008, the wonderfully arch indie-pop deconstructionists in Field Music went on hiatus, leaving David Brewis to form his solo project School of Language, which released the fairly solid Sea From Shore that year. Field Music have long since reformed, but David B.'s continuing on with his School of Language project as well, as Memphis Industries will release its second album, Old Fears, on April 7. First single "Between the Suburbs" continues in the previous album's jittery, off-kilter path with a trickling synth and jagged-yet-harmonic vocal layering.
