In a recent interview, multi-instrumentalist Will Epstein commented on a revelation he had while putting together his debut EP as High Water, The Beautiful Moon: “I found it’s usually not that healthy to think too much in terms of genre when you’re trying to write music.” EP cut "Someday" proves that the artist does, in fact, practice what he preaches: blending electronica, jazz, and a multitude of other sounds, Epstein creates a unique avant-garde sound that borders on hypnotic. However, “Someday” is not built in cacophony; instead, the minimalist track seamlessly combines soothing piano, saxophone, drums, vocals and subtle electro glitches.
