There's a lot to like about "The Arborist", the frantic opening track from Bay Area group Bosse-de-Nage's third LP, III, out June 26 on Profound Lore. The quartet's not into giving interviews, or taking part in the usual promotional cycle, but their mix of weirdo black metal, dynamic post rock, shredding punk, and an easily detectible Slint fixation is enough of a hook. Not interested in any of that? Focus on the insane drumming.
