The manic Dutch band Nihill are completing a trilogy they started in 2007 with Verdonkermaan, out August 21 on Hydra Head. It's a slab of raw, fuzzed-out, noisy, deeply atmospheric and twisted black metal. Around the same time as the LP, Tartarus Records will be releasing a two-song cassette, Woestenij, in a limited edition of 100. Here's Woestenij's swaggering 10-minute A Side, "Fantoom", in slightly less kvlt digital form. These guys know how to structure chaos.
