Greg Raimo, the mind behind French avant-noise trio Gunslingers, has a new LP out soon under his solo moniker, GR. A Reverse Age opens with "Low-Born", a blistering piece of thoroughly explorative psych that sounds like several tracks chaotically pieced into a grim patchwork: damaged free jazz drumming; muffled vocal demons; hallucinating 60s-style noise guitar freakouts. The record's appropriately out October 30 via Mexican Summer.
