The first two singles we've heard from Guards' forthcoming debut, In Guards We Trust, have sounded like the kind of reliable, polished indie pop that plays to the rafters, and "Ready to Go" is no different, with a sweeping chorus and all. You can hear a touch of lead singer Richie Follin's sister's band, Cults, in this one-- it's in those chiming bells-- but Guards do more than enough to stand on their own sonically.
