"Home", the first single from Austra's forthcoming LP Olympia, featured Katie Stelmanis' arresting voice amidst a dry, thwacking rhythm that sounded like an abstract, minimalistic form of dance music. In other words, perfect remix fodder, and so Domino and Paper Bag are readying a 12" of remixes from Ital and Detroit legend Kevin Saunderson, who turns in this nearly eight-minute blowout that takes "Home", flips it on its head, and gives Stelmanis' pipes a new, uh, home. The 12" is out later this summer; Olympia is out June 18 in the Canada via Paper Bag; it comes out June 18 in the U.S. and everywhere else a day before via Domino.
