God what a record…the sheer desperation and plead for love in this album is too apparent to ignore. If feels as if someone ripped out Eric’s heart to display it’s true emotions. You can feel the pain and hurt through the music the opening track is such a strong starter to an amazing album. It is a little unsettling to know that this was just a come fueled obsession, it still works. It’s even funnier that Eric Clapton did eventually get with Pattie Boyd just to realize it wasnt as good as he thought it would be.
