Brooklyn’s Long Island Electrical Systems already had a solid set of early releases when “Damn" b/w "Pf Pf Pass”, a hand-stamped white label, emerged from a wholly-unknown Bushwick-based producer Matt Gardner's Terekke project back in the summer of 2011, it signaled the true arrival of the label. His new EP again shows off his uncanny way with a witching-hour track best suited to the interior of your skull. “Amaze” moves along the subliminal/sublime axis not wholly unlike Burial: familiar yet vague, as murky and warm as a fever dream. A submerged soul vocal uttering “I know that I hurt you” worms through the throb and attendant tape hiss, making for a deep and beautiful track.
