Superchunk's got a new, seasonally appropriate single, "This Summer", out today through Merge. Listen to the A-side below. The B-side is a cover of Bananarama's "Cruel Summer". The 7" is available in stores in a limited quantity of 1300 copies worldwide. In celebration of the release, frontman Mac McCaughan will do an in-store performance at Origami Records in Los Angeles this evening at 7 p.m. They've also got three festival dates scheduled; check those and  Superchunk performing "Slack Motherfucker" at last year's Pitchfork Music Festival right here.
