Not even three seconds pass before Sam Brookes' vocals enter the fray, and the message is clear: We've got a lot to of material to cover, so let's get to it. Over the next three minutes, the track finds Jaxx reigning in their ADHD tendencies with what might be their purest dancefloor gesture in a while.

Because the Jaxx don't know what "minimal" is, there's still a lot of sensory information to take in, but it's directed with the precision of master jugglers who know exactly how many balls they can keep in the air. Brookes, a UK folk artist largely unaccustomed with letting his hair down, loosens his shoulders a bit and matches the urgency of the track's frothy disco stomp. "What a Difference Your Love Makes" is candied euphoria without the toothache-- unless the track's dubby bass knocks out a filling, in which case just send the bill Basement Jaxx's way.
