Heavyweight producer Mike WiLL Made-It might have the most enviable rolodex in the industry right now. The tracklist for his upcoming album, Ransom 2, is brimming with features from Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Migos, Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane and Rihanna—to name just a few. On “Come Down,” the Georgia native calls on the talents of Rae Sremmurd, his chart-topping partners in crime, along with Chief Keef.

The three rappers make it extremely clear that the high induced by fame, success, or anything else, is something to be sustained at all costs. Sosa is up first, ditching bravado for a softer, more laidback approach as he sings about his higher callings on the hook (“Only thing I worship is the Lord and this forty”). Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi follow suit, flaunting designer brands, luxury cars and good times over bass hits and syncopated cymbals. For his part, Mike WiLL lays down a warm, undulating synth line, drawing on his hitmaker magic to deliver an instrumental that’s primed for summer jam status. The track ends abruptly, in the middle of a beat, just as the outro is hitting its stride. The full release of Ransom 2 will resolve this cliffhanger soon enough, but “Come Down” shows that the wait will be worthwhile.
