Listening to Homesick now feels different than it did when I first heard it. Back then it was just loud and emotional and cool. Now I hear how good Jeremy McKinnon actually was at writing about loneliness, uncertainty, friendship, growing pains, and trying to figure out where you belong. My brother introduced me to this album years ago, and somehow it still sounds like being young, overwhelmed, and hopeful all at once.
