Brooklyn duo Yvette's "Radiation" is nothing but motion and physicality. Noah Kardos-Fein and Rick Daniel fashion a groove of substance and tension with highly concentrated elements-- heavy kick drums, punctuations of squalling guitar, altogether something akin to a sheet-metal rendering of Talking Heads circa Fear Of Music. This is challenging music, but there’s little to suggest its creators are frightened of exploring sound nor that it’s to be experienced in isolation. "Radiation" is potent, unstable post-punk meant to be shared.
