Just a few months after Manchester's xxxy, aka Rupert Taylor, dropped the fine Got Me So EP, he's back again with an new single for Doc Daneeka's Ten Thousand Yen imprint, "Progression" b/w "Thinkin Bout", which drops this coming Monday, April 15, on 12" vinyl. Like previous xxxy productions, the B-side's structure is fortified by a repeated-to-infinity vocal sample, but it's where this one goes that makes it truly special, as zesty synths and whirlwind percussion congeal to make "Thinkin Bout" quite the trip.
