Los Angeles producer Ian Evans' Napolian project has been kicking around for a few years now; back in 2012, he released a solid EP, Rejoice, on Daniel Lopatin and Joel Ford's Software label, and the following year Evans and Ford released a tune on Cascine, "In the Zone". Now, Evans is prepping his debut LP as Napolian, Incursio, which sees release on May 24 via Software. "DARPA" finds Evans heading in a more rhythmically intense direction not unlike the recent work of TNGHT, accompanied by some vaguely political imagery.
